Basic Electrophysiology

The 10th City "Basic EP" Course

The Basic EP course organised by Professor Richard Schilling and Dr Simon Sporton is a two-day course aimed at Clinical Physiologists, GPs, Nurses, SpRs and all other healthcare professionals invested in this exciting field of Electrophysiology.

The course aims to provide participants with a working knowledge of treatments in electrophysiology and provides comprehensive 'hands-on' training in all aspects of cardiac electrophysiology, with a focus on practical sessions.

Registration is limited allowing a high ratio of tutors to delegates.

The following topics will be covered:

  • Basic Mechanisms
  • Common Arrhythmias
  • The Intracardiac Electrogram
  • Recording and Interpreting Signals
  • 3D Arrhythmia Mapping
  • Practical Sessions (i.e. hands on teaching of current electrophysiology technologies)
