Meeting Current Demands in Forensic Medicine
The Cameron Centre together with the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) has been running an annual course for Iraqi doctors and other health professionals since 2005 in order to assist the specific needs of practitioners working in such difficult circumstances.
The course, which includes a combination of lectures and practical sessions, is delivered over a two week period in the small university city of Irbid in Jordan around October or November. The course is entitled “Meeting Current Demands in Forensic Medicine” and is exactly what the title implies. Each year we tailor the course to meet the requirements of the Iraqi attendees.
Running this course and meeting the participants has demonstrated to us the courage of the Iraqi health professionals who work with such dedication in such difficult conditions.
