Alongside Programme Directors, Dr Nina Ravic (Academic Manager for Postgraduate Programmes) has helped develop and is successfully managing a broad portfolio of postgraduate taught programmes. Moreover, the significant increase in numbers of students recruited onto our postgraduate taught programmes over the past years reflects the popularity and quality of our institution. 

 

MSc or PG Dip in Clinical Drug Development and MSc or PG Dip in Healthcare Research Methods

Professor Atholl Johnston (Centre of Clinical Pharmacology at WHRI) has developed modular postgraduate programmes in Clinical Drug Development and in Healthcare Research Methods. These courses give individuals the necessary academic background and specialist skills needed to carry out clinical drug development or healthcare research in a contract research organisation, pharmaceutical industry or health service environments.

MSc Clinical Endocrinology

The MSc in Clinical Endocrinology is designed to cover a complete curriculum for Specialist Endocrinology. The Centre for Endocrinology at Barts and the London School of Medicine has an international reputation in this area, both in clinical practice and in research. The curriculum incorporates elements of the UK specialty training curriculum for endocrinology and diabetes mellitus, including aspects which are assessed at the knowledge-based examination required for Royal College Certification. In addition there will be a focus on up to date developments in the field and expert opinions and presentations.

MSc in Critical Care

The MSc in Critical Care Medicine is intended to provide participants with a thorough grounding in the discipline, together with the tools to maintain their knowledge base, through a course of advanced, specialist instruction from a faculty of World leading intensivists.

MSc in Forensic Medical Sciences

In 2006, with the appointment of Professor Peter Vanezis as Professor of Forensic Medical Sciences, the MSc in Forensic Medical Science was established. This course fulfils the national and international need for scientific and medical professionals who can apply a critical and scientific approach to their forensic practice, and who wish to have a broad understanding of the various interrelated disciplines of forensic medicine and science.

MSc Genomic Medicine (1yr FT)

MSc Genomic Medicine (2yr PT DL)

This is a flexible MSc course designed to provide healthcare professionals with a multi-disciplinary perspective on genomics and its application in medicine. You will be trained in state-of-the-art genomic platforms and informatics tools and how to apply them in the analysis and interpretation of whole genome sequence data from patients. The course is taught by a team of experts of international calibre in a stimulating research environment next to the Headquarters of Genomics England. Students will gain access to a flexible online e-learning platform (QMPlus, Eco360) which allows them to discuss and exchange ideas, share knowledge as well as access all lecture sessions in their own time.

PG Dip in Endocrinology and Diabetes

This distance learning MSc/PGDip course in Endocrinology and Diabetes provides clinicians with theoretical and clinically applied aspects of their discipline and incorporates elements of the UK speciality training curriculum for endocrinology and diabetes mellitus.

MSc or PG Dip in Sports and Exercise Medicine (Clinical)

MSc or PG Dip in Sports and Exercise Medicine (Physio)

These internationally renowned programmes are open to doctors and physiotherapists. The programmes are based on the philosophy of total care for the athlete and the promotion of physical activity in the general population. They are unique in the UK for the delivery of integrated academic and practical tuition.

Clinical Research Master of Research ( Variable 2 years Part-time )

This programme gives you the opportunity to develop academic research skills within the framework of your busy clinical training programme. It is designed for clinical academic trainees in all specialties
